Ducab Metals Business enters partnership agreement with top US group

Ducab Metals Business (DMB), a major supplier of copper and aluminum solutions in the region, has signed an agreement with CTC Global, a leading US manufacturer of high-efficiency conductors, making the organization the sole manufacturer of CTC Global’s high-volume products, the UAE’s energy-saving ACCC conductor.

DMB, one of the main business units of the Ducab Group, said the agreement makes it the only UAE manufacturer of CTC Global’s high-capacity, energy-efficient ACCC conductors using composite cores imported from the US to help expand market share in the country . grid and improve its efficiency, capacity and reliability while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The application of these advanced conductors will accelerate the integration of renewable energy generation into the national power system.

The agreement was signed today (9 March) at a special ceremony held by Middle East Energy in the presence of Mohamed Al Ahmedi, CEO of DMB; Charles Mellagui, CEO of Ducab Cables Business, Senior Vice President, Middle East and North Africa, CTC Global Steve Jackman and Frank Joseph, Chief Commercial Officer, US Consulate General in Dubai.

“DMB’s vision is to be a leading global provider of innovative and high-value energy solutions, with sustainability always at the heart of all our activities,” said Al Ahmedi.

“We are committed to the UAE’s efforts to combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions, and to this end fully support the strategic initiative to achieve net zero by 2050, especially before COP28. The initiative calls for deeper carbon emission reductions and large-scale implementation of CTC Global’s energy-efficient conductors are an important step towards this goal,” he noted.
