Duke of Sussex’s memoir ‘will tell of Queen Elizabeth’s death’ | Entertainment

The Duke of Sussex will reportedly address Queen Elizabeth’s death in his upcoming memoir.

Prince Harry’s autobiography, SPARE, will be published on January 10 and is believed to be largely complete before his grandmother’s death in September.

But People report that the 38-year-old royal will “touch” the cause of death in a paragraph added after her death at her Balmoral home on September 8.

It said: “Although much of the Duke of Sussex’s forthcoming memoir, Preparing for War, was written before Queen Elizabeth’s death, he will acknowledge her death in it.

“The book’s release date – originally scheduled for the end of the year – has been pushed back following the Queen’s death.”

Harry and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, 41, were in Europe when his grandmother died at 96, but returned to the UK for her state funeral.

In a statement honoring his grandmother shortly after his death, Harry praised her for her “advice” and “contagious smile”, and hailed her as a “compass”.

He said: “In celebrating the life of my grandmother Her Majesty The Queen – and in mourning her passing – we are all reminded of the compass of her commitment to service and responsibility to so many.

“She is admired and respected worldwide. Her unwavering grace and dignity have remained constant throughout her life and are now her lasting legacy.

“Let’s echo what she said after the death of her husband Prince Philip, which now brings comfort to all of us: ‘Life certainly includes the final parting and the first meeting.

“Grandma, although this final parting has brought us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all our first meetings – from my childhood memories with you, to the first time I met you as my commander-in-chief , to the first meeting. You met my dear wife and hugged your beloved great-grandson.

“I cherished these times, and the many other special moments that I shared with you. You have been sorely missed, not only by us, but by the whole world. At our first meeting, we now pay tribute to my father as King Charles III Salute to the new character.

“Thank you for your commitment to service. Thank you for your honest advice. Thank you for your infectious smile.

“We laughed too, knowing that you and grandpa are now reunited and that they are in peace.”
