Dulsco Group, a leading integrated solutions provider, has signed the Climate Responsibility Pledge to support the UAE’s decarbonization efforts and align with the UAE’s 2050 Net Zero Emissions Strategic Initiative.
The pledge, signed in cooperation with the UAE Government and the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, was signed at a ceremony held at X – Ajman Accelerators in Ajman. Guests at the event included Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department. The event was attended by John Grainger, Chief Operating Officer, Environmental Solutions, Dulsco Group, who described the group’s environmental and climate action efforts and world-class facilities.
David Stockton, CEO of Dulsco Group, commented: “Our commitment to the UAE Climate Action Pledge will further support Dulsco Group’s commitment to strengthen the UAE’s circular economy and the UAE’s goal of net zero emissions by 2050. A productive COP28
“We expect a very productive COP28 next year. The UAE has a history of leading world-class events, most recently at Expo 2020 Dubai, and we look forward to welcoming world leaders,” continued Stockton.
The group has announced the engagement of KPMG as a vendor and audit service to help Dulsco measure and report its greenhouse gas emissions in a fully transparent and accurate manner. KPMG, known for its decarbonization efforts and push for renewable energy, will help Dulsco conduct an in-depth carbon footprint study to determine the group’s baseline carbon emissions for 2022. —trade arab news agency
