Kaoun International, the organiser of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), and dmg events have signed a joint venture (JV) agreement to develop an international portfolio in the food and hospitality sectors.
dmg events is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daily Mail and General Trust plc (DMGT), an international information, media and events business portfolio.
The newly established company, Kaoun International, builds on DWTC’s strong track record of organising industry-leading events that have helped not only the UAE but the Middle East become the destination of choice for large international business events. It contains a portfolio of more than 20 business and consumer events covering technology, food and hospitality, sustainability, broadcast and satellite, automotive, talent development and leisure marine.
As its first international market expansion, the newly formed joint venture will host the Saudi Food & Beverage Exhibition and the Saudi Food Manufacturing Exhibition in Riyadh from June 20 to 22, 2023. The inaugural event will be affiliated with GULFOOD Global, the world’s largest food and beverage company. To be the event brand trusted by the global catering industry.
The Saudi Arabia Hotel Show will be renamed in September 2023 to cover the wider hospitality, HORECA and interior design markets. dmg’s existing food and hospitality activities in South Africa will also be transferred under the new joint venture.
