Passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport (DXB) has reached 95.6% of 2019 levels, with more than 21.2 million passengers in the first quarter of this year.
The airport maintained its status as the world’s busiest international hub for the ninth year in a row, following DXB’s strong performance last year when it handled 66 million passengers.

Passenger traffic at DXB totaled 21,256,489 in the first three months of this year, a 55.8% increase from the first quarter of 2022 and the first time since the fourth quarter of 2019 that monthly passenger traffic has hit the 7 million mark. March was the busiest month in the first quarter with 7.3 million visits, the highest monthly visit since DXB recorded 7.8 million in January 2020.
DXB is currently connected to 234 destinations in 99 countries by 89 scheduled international airlines.

India remained the top DXB destination country with 3 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia (1.6 million), the UK (1.4 million) and Pakistan (1 million).
