ABU DHABI, 18th August, 2022 (WAM) — Erth Abu Dhabi of the Former Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel (AFOCH) has signed a community partnership agreement with the Al Wathba Cycling Community Team to strengthen health and sporting values.
The agreement aims to foster cooperation by providing logistical and technical support, training and use of the club’s facilities.
Sheikha bint Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, CEO, Earth Abu Dhabi; The agreement was signed by Sulaiman Al Hammadi, Al Wathba Community Team Director, in the presence of Mohammed Sanad Al Qubaisi, Vice President of Cycling Federation and team member.
The Al Wathba team delivers a social and humanitarian message designed to promote the values of tolerance aligned with the vision of wise leadership.
The team consists of more than 100 athletes of various nationalities and ages, and has established regular events starting with cycling on the circuits of Al Wathba and Al Hudayriat. Several players accepted the challenge of the cycling league, and the team performed well in various events.
The team also competed in the Spartan Challenge, finishing third in the global age group. The group also participated in the “Iron Man” challenge. The team’s activities include state-sponsored runs and marathons.
The team management would like to express its gratitude and appreciation to the Erth Abu Dhabi management for their community support to the team and for devoting all of their energies to serving sports and athletes.
