Ken Jeong – the screenwriter behind the comedy Easter – is re-teaming with Amblin Partners on a film called prince. The feature was described as a “comedy of cross-cultural partners.”
Amblin and Cheng previously worked together at Universal and Rideback Easter, which stars comedian Joe Coy as a man who returns home to celebrate Easter with his overbearing family. The film, which premiered in theaters in August, is directed by filmmaker Jay Chandrasekhar.
Cheng’s upcoming Chinese Art Heista Warner Bros. project based on GQ Magazine article of the same name. Conde Nast will serve as producer and Jon M. Chu will serve as director.He is also producing and writing an adaptation of New York Bound Entertainment magazine article “Chateau Sucker”.
Cheng, along with Jessica Gao and Jimmy O. Yang, are co-founders of production company and creative incubator Crab Club, Inc., represented by Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment and Yorn Levine.
