Eddie Redmayne believes his parents deserve a lot of credit for his success.
The Oscar-winning actor has always had strong support from his parents, who he believes have played a major role in his success.
Eddie, 40, who attended Jackie Palmer’s Studio Stage School in London, told TODAY: “I loved the music, singing and acting at school.
“To my parents’ credit – which I really take seriously now as a parent – anything that interests me or that interests my brothers, they support it.”
Eddie plays serial killer Charles Cullen in the new crime drama The Good Nurse, who murdered up to 40 patients over the course of his career.
In this case, Eddie chose not to try to stay in the character shift.
The famous actor – who has a son named Luke and a daughter named Iris – said: “I have a six-year-old and a four-year-old and, for my wife’s sanity, stay away from Charlie Cullen. It would be pleasant for anyone.”
Meanwhile, Eddie has previously admitted to being driven by fear.
The Hollywood star admits to having moments of self-doubt – but he thinks it actually encouraged him to work harder.
When asked if fear motivates him, Eddie explained: “It’s definitely an aspect of it. Yeah. Kind of like the adrenaline and all those nerves, all this stuff that keeps you on edge makes you super engaged, Sensitive and responsive.
“Sure, it makes you work harder. The fear of screwing up is what makes you work harder!
“I’ve always admired actors who can be super confident and have absolute faith in themselves, because I really can’t be like that. Because you never know what’s right, how you feel inside and what you’re portraying.
“Depiction relative to the outside [to] Your inner feelings are always so different that it is impossible for you to know what is right. “
