EDGE Group, one of the world’s top 25 defense and other advanced technology groups, said it had acquired a 70% stake in Abu Dhabi-based Gradeone, a specialist in non-lethal pyrotechnics, munitions, defense-related components and packaging. Corporate Solutions.
In announcing the strategic move, EDGE Group said the mutually beneficial acquisition is in line with its continued expansion plans in the defense sector, with the new entity joining its trade and mission support cluster.
The announcement comes ahead of the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX), which will be held at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center (ADNEC) from February 20-24.
As one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defense groups, EDGE seized the opportunity to further expand its defense manufacturing, communications and trading capabilities by bringing Gradeone into the group.
Commenting on the acquisition, Mansour AlMulla, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE, said: “We are growing rapidly, so we are focusing on the development of the defense trade.
