Edge renames its secure communications feature to Katim

Edge Group (Edge) has announced the rebranding of its entity Digital14, a leader in developing innovative and ultra-secure communications solutions for defense, intelligence, government and private sector clients around the world.

According to Edge, Katim provides trust in a world where cyber risk is a constant threat and meets the demands for advanced and globally competitive networks by delivering robust, secure, end-to-end solutions centered on four core business units. Growing demand for capabilities: networks, ultra-secure mobile devices, apps, and satellite communications. Through a “secure by design” approach from concept to completion, Katim’s cross-platform products and solutions ensure end-to-end encryption of voice, video and data over a reliable private network.

To celebrate Digital 14’s official rebranding to Katim, Edge hosted a corporate event in Abu Dhabi outlining how the new brand aligns with the group’s overall strategy, its expansion of capabilities in secure communications, Katim’s mission and vision, and 2022 Key goals and priorities for the remainder of the time and beyond.

Held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the event was attended by Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of the Board of Edge, Mansour AlMulla, CEO and Managing Director of Edge, and Waleid Al Mesmari, Senior Vice President of Electronic Warfare and Electronic Warfare. Shaz Khan, Acting CEO of Edge’s Network Technology and KATIM, Katim’s Transition and Transformation and Head of Strategy and Operations, and other key stakeholders.
