Edge Group entity Jaheziya, a one-stop provider of defence solutions and emergency response services, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC) to facilitate cooperation.
They will communicate in cybersecurity related areas and Jaheziya will provide cyber awareness programs to designated communities. The agreement was formally signed at Gitex, the annual enterprise technology and global digital transformation event held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 10 to 14 October.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Director of Cyber Security, UAE Government, and Omar Al Zaabi, Senior Vice President, Trade and Mission Support, Edge.

According to the MoU, the two organizations will promote and carry out exchanges in ICT cybersecurity related fields, with a particular focus on cooperation, deterrence, prevention and response to cyberattacks in related cyber fields, awareness building and education programs, as well as scientific research and development, all All in accordance with the UAE principles of equality, reciprocity and respect.
Jaheziya has also partnered with UAE CSC to provide community networking awareness programmes, especially for women, youth, seniors and people of determination. The agreement furthers Jaheziya’s earlier efforts to spread greater cyber awareness, which resulted in more than 300,000 trainees across the UAE.
Dr. Al Kuwaiti said: “This agreement will provide consistent, high-quality training in risk prevention and cybersecurity best practices for designated communities in the UAE.
