EGA partners with Microsoft UAE to develop digital aluminum solutions – Aluminum Insider

Emirates Global Aluminum PJSC (EGA) this week announced a new partnership with Microsoft UAE to collaborate on Industry 4.0 and the overall digital transformation of the global aluminum industry.

The new agreement will see the two companies jointly implement EGA’s digital roadmap, a program aimed at implementing new digital transformation technologies. To date, the roadmap has implemented innovations in artificial intelligence and big data.

Carlo K. Nizam, chief digital officer at Emirates Global Aluminum, said the partnership will bring out the best of both companies.

At the same time, we will improve the environmental sustainability of EGA’s computing infrastructure and benefit from for seamless security and operations of our public and private cloud assets.”

Naim Yazbeck, general manager of Microsoft UAE, said his company is eager to strengthen its cooperation with EGA.

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Emirates Global Aluminum is an aluminum group formed in 2013 from the merger of Dubai Aluminum (DUBAL) and Emirates Aluminum (EMAL). Emirates Global Aluminum holds interests in bauxite/alumina and primary aluminum smelting.
