Emirates Global Aluminum, the UAE’s largest industrial company outside of oil and gas, has announced the launch of FURSA, a comprehensive online platform developed by the EGA Youth Council. It provides a range of learning and development opportunities for the company’s young people.
The result of a partnership with EGA’s Learning and Development team, FURSA provides easy access to curated programs and experiences focused on improving skills in leadership, sustainability, science, technology, research and development, and more.
Young EGA employees are encouraged to attend training, workshops and events offered through the platform. FURSA has exclusive programs offered by prestigious universities including Harvard, Oxford and London Business School. The program will also offer workshops from established partners, including the National Coders Scheme, Department for Climate Change and Environment, Department for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and Youth 4 Sustainability.

Hala Alhashmi, Chair of EGA’s Youth Council and Senior Engineer in the firm’s Lean and Business Transformation division, said: “Youth have both the opportunity and the responsibility to lead the future. We must prepare now to build on the great achievements we will inherit. We design FURSA is about enabling all young people to reach their full potential and give their all to our company and country.”
Iman Al Qasim, Executive Vice President Human Capital, EGA, said: “EGA is committed to developing future leaders by providing bespoke learning and development opportunities tailored to their field of work, interests and abilities. FURSA at EGA is unique in our learning and development portfolio as it has been developed by young people themselves. I believe this will help us achieve EGA’s bold aspiration to be the industrial employer of choice in the countries in which we operate by 2030, becoming a true talent-driven organization.”
FURSA will go beyond traditional training to deliver world-class experiences and tailored events based on volunteerism, sustainability and collaboration. Young EGA employees will have the opportunity to apply their skills in real-world scenarios, participate in meaningful projects and contribute to EGA’s social impact initiatives locally and internationally.
