Egis Announces Greater Middle East, India Entry Through WME Acquisition

Following the agreement to acquire WME announced earlier this year, Aegis, a leading international group in construction engineering services, has successfully completed the acquisition of one of the region’s leading multidisciplinary engineering design consultancies.

The acquisition of WME will help advance Egis’ strategic ambition to “Influence the Future” to address the social, environmental and technological challenges of the 21st century and join the industry’s top ten global players by 2026.

Regarding this successful acquisition, Laurent Germain, CEO of the Egis Group, said: “Today is an exciting time for us. The addition of WME to the Egis Group creates substantial growth opportunities for us in key markets in the Middle East and India and brings greater opportunities to our customers. With the closing of the transaction, Mohajer will now lead the newly formed Egis Construction Engineering practice in the region, focusing on engineering design and project delivery to drive the broader growth agenda of Egis built environment products.

Egis said its regional expansion comes at a time when the company, which was recently named the top ten design consultancies in the Middle East for the first time by Engineering News-Record magazine (ENR), is growing rapidly overall.
