President Sisi stressed the importance of the historical relationship between the two countries, praising Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s efforts to support Egypt.
Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Radi said Al Maktoum thanked President Sisi and the Egyptian people for their warm reception during the meeting, stressing that the UAE people hold a special place in their hearts for Egypt and its people.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: “The Egyptian community in the UAE is a bridge of civilizations linking two brotherly nations.”
In addition, he appreciated Egypt’s pivotal role in defending Arab issues and praised Egyptian political leaders for their positions and wise policies at the domestic and international levels.
On the occasion of the visit, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum wrote on his official Twitter account: “The people of Egypt are loyal people and their leaders are real leaders… For 50 years, they have been from the very beginning. Just be with us and build our country.. Egypt was and will continue to be a supporter, stock and brother that we cannot live without”.
The United Arab Emirates Prime Minister’s visit to Egypt comes as the two countries mark the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations in a three-day celebration under the slogan “Egypt and the UAE: One Heart”, which will take place from Wednesday to Friday.
