At Wednesday’s meeting, the Egyptian government reviewed Egypt’s participation in the summit after UAE Prime Minister and Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid formally invited President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi to the summit. preparations, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian cabinet after the meeting.
Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli thanked the UAE for this gesture and affirmed the ongoing cooperation between the two countries to ensure the success of the summit.
The meeting was attended by Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, as well as a number of UAE ministers.
WGS 2023 will be held under the theme “Shaping the Government of the Future”.
Global leaders, experts and several policymakers will gather at the gathering to contribute to the development of the tools, policies and models necessary to shape the governments of the future.
WGS was launched in 2013.
UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Al-Gergawi, who attended the meeting, said Egypt would hold special celebrations during the three-day summit.
The Emirati minister added that Egypt’s experiments in development and governance will be showcased during celebrations attended by President Sisi.
