The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 2023 World Government Summit (WGS), which begins today in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, Sisi thanked the UAE for inviting Egypt to participate in the summit as a guest country.
He added that Egypt’s participation in the summit through a high-level delegation reflects the special relationship between the two countries, El-Sisi added.
According to El-Sisi, the WGS helps generate creative ideas that represent inspiring ways to address various regional challenges.
The Egyptian President affirmed his appreciation for the strong, deep fraternal ties and historical ties that link the two countries and their peoples at all levels.
This positively reflects the close coordination between the two sides on priority issues to achieve common interests and goals.
For his part, Mohammed bin Rashid praised Egypt’s pioneering role in defending the Arab cause and the wise stance of Egyptian political leaders at domestic and international levels.
Mohammed bin Rashid also highlighted the special place Egypt and Egyptians hold in the hearts of the people of the UAE.
Held under the theme ‘Shaping Future Government’, this year’s WGS saw 20 presidents and more than 250 ministers, as well as 10,000 businessmen, government officials, global experts and thought leaders from around the world attend institution WAM, according to Emirates News.
On the sidelines of Monday’s summit, Sisi took part in a roundtable with officials and major companies in areas as diverse as technology applications, artificial intelligence, e-commerce and sustainable resource management.
Sisi also met today with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
The Egyptian president arrived in Abu Dhabi on Sunday and was received by his president. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the airport.
