Dr Yousif Mohammed Al-Serkal, Director-General of EHS, said that the Emirates Health Service (EHS) is working hard to implement international best practice and strengthen the health sector’s readiness to build healthy communities.
Al-Serkal released the 2023-2026 EHS Innovation Strategy at Arab Health 2023, which Al-Serkal said is a roadmap to enhance the sustainability of the healthcare industry in the future. The innovation strategy is based on six pillars, namely forward thinking, opportunity creation, collaboration, continuity and change, customer focus and entrepreneurial focus.
“It embodies the vision and aspirations of our wise leadership and helps us achieve our goal of improving the sustainability of the healthcare industry in the future,” he said. Dr. Kulthum Al Balushi, Director of EHS Training and Development Center and Chief Innovation Officer, said: “The strategy aims to promote healthy lifestyles and quality of life at all levels of the community through the development of public, preventive and mental health programmes. “In addition to building and managing strategic partnerships, developing capacity, improving service quality, achieving financial efficiency and global competitiveness in line with national strategies, it strives to promote innovative practices and health sector practices rooted in flexibility, initiative and readiness s project.”
The strategy aims to increase the sustainability of health-related innovation by investing in health systems and increasing economic resilience. Another goal is to grow the health economy by advancing healthcare services and programs and increasing return on investment through innovative solutions. In addition, an innovation-friendly corporate environment must be created to strengthen internal capabilities and simplify innovation practices.
