The Abu Dhabi doctor on duty on Eid al-Fitr said that the patient is our family.
The hospital in Abu Dhabi surprised the frontline medical staff on duty on Eid al-Adha with gift baskets and a “thank you” note.
Mafraq Hospital and VPS Healthcare took the initiative to dedicate this Eid al-Adha to frontline staff.
“Eid al-Fitr is for us and for the patients. These patients are our family members. In the intensive care unit, the patients are in critical condition and they need our support. We must be by their side,” a frontline doctor said in a statement. Said in the heartwarming video of the initiative.
In addition to doctors, patients also received surprise gifts. Medical staff said that taking care of patients is also serving the country.
“We like to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with them (patients) and make them feel that they are not alone. We are here to serve them,” the medical staff said.
In addition, Abdulla bin Mohamed Al Hamed, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health (DoH), visited many Covid-19 screening, evaluation and treatment centers. Al Hamed was accompanied by Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Deputy Minister of DoH.
These visits are in line with the instructions and commitment of the leadership of the UAE to monitor preventive measures in Abu Dhabi as part of the effort to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the visit, Hamid conveyed the leaders’ holiday greetings to the front-line staff.
