Following suit, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, also conveyed his wishes to all. Taking to a platform, he expressed felicitations to the leadership, the people of the UAE, and Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. His message resonated with the anticipation of joy, blessings, and prosperity for all participants in the festivities.

Similarly, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, extended his congratulations to the leaders of the country on this auspicious occasion. His message reflected gratitude for the culmination of the fasting and obedience of the holy month, alongside prayers for the widespread dissemination of peace, security, and goodness throughout the world. He emphasized the significance of Eid as an occasion for joy, camaraderie, and strengthened social bonds.

Amidst the festive fervor, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reached out to the kings, Emirs, and presidents of Arab and Islamic states through cables of congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. In his communications, Sheikh Mohamed conveyed wishes for continued progress, prosperity, and stability to the leaders and their respective nations, underscoring the importance of solidarity and mutual well-being within the wider Arab and Islamic community.

Further extending these sentiments, the UAE’s vice presidents, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, dispatched similar cables to the leaders of Arab and Islamic states, reaffirming the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite the nations during this auspicious period.

The announcement of the first day of Eid Al Fitr on April 10 followed the non-sighting of the Shawwal moon on Monday night. This declaration heralded a 9-day long break for public and private sector employees, providing an opportunity for individuals and families to partake in the Eid celebrations before resuming work on April 15.

Beyond the borders of Dubai, the spirit of Eid Al Fitr resonated across the entire UAE, with leaders and citizens alike coming together to celebrate the joyous occasion. From Abu Dhabi to Sharjah, from Ras Al Khaimah to Fujairah, the spirit of unity and harmony prevailed, as people from all walks of life joined hands in celebration.

In the spirit of Eid Al Fitr, acts of charity and compassion abounded, as individuals and organizations across the UAE reached out to support the less fortunate, ensuring that all members of society could partake in the festivities. From distributing food parcels to organizing community events, the spirit of giving permeated every corner of the nation, embodying the true essence of Eid.

As the sun set on Eid Al Fitr 2024, the UAE community stood united in gratitude and celebration, cherishing the bonds of friendship and kinship that bind them together. In the words of the Dubai Ruler, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Eid Al Fitr is not merely a festival but a testament to the resilience, compassion, and unity of the UAE community—a celebration of hope, happiness, and shared values that will continue to illuminate the nation’s path towards a brighter future.
