New York, August 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/ –Emagine Entertainment, Inc., an innovator in luxury cinema, announces a new partnership with Screenvision Media, a national leader in integrated advertising and content presentation services for cinema exhibitors, as well as augmented reality Field leader Strax Networks technology, creating an industry-first platform that connects the physical theater experience with the digital world. The platform will debut exclusively at select Michigan Imagine locations in October.

Augmented Reality (AR) is the integration of digital information technologies and methods that allow users to experience real-world objects and environments on top of which 3D-generated perceptual information is superimposed in real time. AR technology developed by Strax Networks and its platform StraxAR™ will connect Emagine guests to exclusive engaging digital experiences including promotions, games, videos, trailers, music, special messages and private offers from select sponsors through Screenvision Media.
To participate in these experiences, Emagine guests will download the StraxAR app for iOS and Android devices. This unique technology allows cinema items, such as soda and popcorn buckets, to come alive for the experience. When guests open the StraxAR app and point them at various logos or other designated elements on a soda glass or popcorn bucket, specific AR experiences are triggered, creating unique and engaging digital guest interactions.
Under the terms of the agreement, Emagine will have exclusive windows to use the technology in movie theaters.
