The project contributes to the UAE’s Energy Strategy 2050 goal, which aims to make renewable energy account for 44 percent of the country’s clean energy mix by 2050. According to a report, rooftop solar PV could provide around 6% of the UAE’s total electricity generation by 2030. Projections from the International Renewable Energy Agency in its REmap 2030 report on the UAE’s renewable energy outlook.
