[ad_1]

Emergency calls across Ukraine after Russian missiles hit two residential buildings in Ukraine capital Kyiv Tuesday. Several cities were also hit by blackouts amid a fresh attack on the war-torn country’s energy infrastructure, leading to blackouts and forced shutdowns – a situation Ukrainian authorities described as “critical”. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky took note of the attack and vowed to his people: “We will survive”.

Earlier on Tuesday, at the G20 summit, Zelensky scoffs at Russia Also pointedly thank the “G19” – excluding its neighbors – for condemning nuclear blackmail and extending their support.

Here are the latest developments:

  • Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuri Ignat said in a local television broadcast, russian army Russia fired “approximately 100” missiles at Ukraine, up from 84 on October 10, AFP reported. In a video posted online, Zelensky warned civilians that they could face more attacks, but “we are working, we will restore everything and we will survive”.
  • The statement came hours after two residential buildings in the Russian capital Kyiv were reportedly hit by Russian missiles. The city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, said at least one person was killed in the attack.
  • A Ukrainian presidential aide has shared a video of the site of the missile attack, showing a five-story building on fire. The mayor added that air defenses shot down some of the missiles.
  • Ukraine has enjoyed days of frenzy following one of its biggest military successes in its nearly nine-month aggression — retaking the southern city of Kherson last week.
  • In their invasion attempts in recent months, Russia has largely resorted to attacking Ukraine’s power grid — affecting millions of civilians in the country — using the approach of winter as their latest weapon, apparently in hopes of their surrender.
