Emily Ratajkowski slams ‘blonde’ for ‘female obsession’
The 31-year-old actress has slammed director Andrew Dominic’s Marilyn Monroe biopic – which stars Ana de Armas – for the way it portrayed the late Hollywood icon, even as she admits She hadn’t actually seen the movie.
“I’m not surprised to hear that this is another film that is obsessed with women’s suffering, even in death,” she said on TikTok.
Citing the collective fascination with the deaths of Britney Spears, the late Amy Winehouse and Princess Diana, Emily insisted that, as a society, “we like to be obsessed with women’s pain…we are obsessed with the dead Girls and serial killers.”
She added: “We love the pain of being obsessed with women. I think as a woman, I can say for sure that I’ve learned how to be obsessed with my own pain and my own hurts in life so that it feels like it’s okay to be inclined to that kind of sexy .”
“I think we can do this in many, many different ways.”

Courtney Stowden also vowed to boycott the film and called on others not to watch it.
The 28-year-old star told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “I wouldn’t watch it. As someone who understands what it’s like to be sexually exploited and then have people turn you into a joke when you’re not a joke , I think diving into this is a bit disrespectful…
“That’s not Marilyn Monroe, that’s not her story. It’s fiction, to make her what she’s not. She never wanted to be the girl they portrayed.”
