Emirates and Air Canada have signed a strategic partnership agreement that will create more choices for passengers when travelling on the airline’s network, while enhancing the customer experience throughout the journey.
Emirates and Air Canada plan to establish a codeshare relationship later in 2022, which will give Air Canada customers more travel options to destinations outside the United Arab Emirates and Dubai.
Emirates passengers will also enjoy a better travel experience when travelling to major destinations in Toronto or the Air Canada network. Customers will be able to easily book connecting travel between the two airline networks with just one ticket, seamless connectivity at the operators’ respective global hubs and baggage transfer to their final destination.
Emirates President Sir Tim Clark said: “This is an important partnership that will enable our customers to access more destinations in Canada and the Americas through our Toronto and US gateways. Air Canada has opened up a number of new route combinations for passengers across its extensive network in the Americas, Middle East, Africa and Asia. We are delighted to be partnering with Air Canada, one of the most established airlines in North America and Canada’s flagship Airlines, we look forward to making progress together in all areas to provide customers with better flight choices and experiences.”

To further enhance the customer experience, the operator will also provide eligible customers with reciprocal frequent flyer benefits and reciprocal lounge access. A statement from Emirates said further details of the partnership and specific codeshare routes will be announced as they are finalized, subject to regulatory approvals and final documentation. – arab trade news agency
