Emirates signed a groundbreaking plan with Falcon Aircraft Recycling, headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, to upgrade and recycle its first decommissioned A380 aircraft, thereby significantly reducing the environmental impact of the dismantling process and significantly reducing landfill Landfill waste.

In addition, many aircraft items may be difficult to recycle or dispose of, such as flame-retardant fabrics and composite materials.

After completing the last commercial mission, the first A380 A6-EDA delivered to Emirates was decommissioned and taken to the airline’s engineering center, where Emirates engineers retrieved repairable parts such as engines and landing gear And flight control components. Subsequently, the aircraft was written off and handed over to the Falcon aircraft recovery team, which began to carefully dismantle the aircraft.
Falcon Aircraft Recycling cooperates with another UAE-based company, Wings Craft, which specializes in producing custom furniture and merchandise from aircraft materials. Falcon Aircraft Recycling will use materials and parts removed from aircraft to design and manufacture unique collectibles and retail thing. These products will be launched and sold in phases in the next few months.
Part of the profit from the sale of all upgraded and recycled items for the first retired Emirates A380 will benefit the Emirates Foundation.
