City check-in at Abu Dhabi International Airport will resume operations from Adnec, it was announced on Wednesday.

Registration services will first be available to delegates attending the ongoing International Defense Exhibition and Conference (Idex) and the 7th Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition (Navdex) in Adnec. It will be open to the public starting Saturday.

“Idex and Navdex representatives can now check-in, collect boarding passes and drop bags between four and 24 hours before flight departure for hassle-free travel,” said Morafiq Aviation Services, who runs City Check-in Adnec’s services at said in a statement.

As many as 65 countries and about 350 official delegations from all over the world participated in the defense exhibition.

“back Index and Navigation Index Registration services will be available to the public until Friday, February 24,” Morafiq noted.

Currently, passengers traveling with Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, Wizz Air and EgyptAir can benefit from the facility.

Passengers can check-in from 24 hours to 4 hours before flight departure. Once at the airport, they can proceed directly to the immigration counter. Check-in fee is AED 35 per delegate.

Adnec’s facilities will benefit people living in areas from Al Mushrif to Mussafah and beyond. Even if passengers end up with overweight bags, they have plenty of time to return home to make adjustments, rather than leaving the extra bags at the airport or paying extra for it.

But if passengers want to pay for excess baggage, they can do so at the city check-in service or upgrade their seats.

The new facility is located at the Adnec Concourse on the ground floor of the stands. Opening hours are 9am to 9pm. For more details, passengers can contact 800 667 2347.
