Emirates invests more than $2 billion to enhance inflight experience

[ad_1]

Emirates is investing more than $2 billion to enhance its inflight customer experience, including a massive programme to retrofit more than 120 aircraft with the latest interiors and a range of other service improvements across all cabins from 2022.

Emirates President Sir Tim Clark said: “While other airlines are responding to industry pressures by cutting costs, Emirates is bucking the trend and investing in delivering a better experience for our customers. Through the pandemic, we have Continuing to roll out new services and initiatives to ensure our customers can travel with confidence and ease, including digital programmes to improve the customer experience on the ground. Now we are launching a series of enhanced programmes that take Emirates’ signature inflight experience to a new level s level.”

Some of Emirates’ latest initiatives include: enhanced meal options, a new vegetarian menu, a “theatre in the sky” experience, cabin interior upgrades, sustainable options and a generous treatment of the little details that make travel memorable.

From August, Emirates passengers can expect:

New inspiration, new menu: An award-winning team of chefs, a world-class catering team and a diverse range of suppliers work together to design and deliver the best dining experience in the sky. New menus will be available in First Class on select Emirates routes, including dishes such as pan-fried salmon with mokka sauce and Creole rice, roasted duck breast with orange thyme, steamed broccoli and fudge potatoes. The new menu will also be launched in Business and Economy on September 1st.

Purposeful vegetarian options: Emirates’ new vegetarian menu has been carefully curated to meet the needs of a growing number of customers who are pursuing this thoughtful lifestyle. Vegetarians, or anyone interested in a delicious and healthy plant-based meal, will enjoy handcrafted delights like pan-roasted oyster mushrooms, delicious jackfruit biryani, and kohlrabi slices garnished with burnt orange. Dessert is a decadent choice, with a chocolate truffle cake with hazelnuts, pistachios and gold leaf, or a green grape tart decorated with candied rose petals, vanilla custard and candied berries, sparkling with grapefruit pearls. Vegetarian dishes can be ordered in all cabin classes.

Champagne and Caviar Experience: The Emirates First Class experience, which has always been the benchmark for service excellence, has taken it up a notch in 2022. As part of the “dine-on-demand” service, customers can now sample unlimited Persian caviar, paired with the world-renowned Dom Pérignon vintage champagne. Emirates is the only airline with an exclusive deal to offer inflight luxury brands.

Sky Cinema: First class passengers can create unforgettable movie moments by ordering movie snacks while enjoying the 5,000 channels of Emirates’ on-ice entertainment system. The cinema snack menu includes more classic dishes like lobster rolls, juicy sliders, edamame and salted popcorn, which can be ordered on demand. All passengers can also plan their own on-ice experience before their flight by simply browsing and pre-selecting a movie or TV show on the Emirates app, which can then be synced to the ice upon boarding, maximizing a seamless travel experience.

Farm to Fork – Sustainable Supply Chain: Emirates customers flying out of Dubai can start enjoying fresh vegetables harvested from Bustanica, the world’s largest vertical farm, invested through Emirates Catering’s new $40 million joint venture. Emirates will continue to invest in sustainable operations and supply chain, sourcing local food suppliers and farms wherever possible to provide the freshest produce on board.

Professional hospitality training for flight attendants: Emirates has partnered with Lausanne, one of the world’s top hospitality management schools, to develop an Emirates hotel strategy and encourage inspiring guest experiences. Emirates flight crews have begun participating in an intensive training programme focused on delivering four pillars of service: excellence, focus, innovation and passion.

Upgraded cabin interior for all classes: The most significant investment is an extensive and record-breaking renovation of the aircraft’s fleet interior, in which the cabin will be retrofitted with new or rearranged seats, new panelling, floors and other cabin features. For the benefit of all Emirates passengers, every cabin will be refreshed and a new Premium Economy cabin will be installed. After the revamp, Emirates will offer Premium Economy seats on a total of 120 aircraft – the only airline in the region to offer this type of cabin, with enhanced interiors and features in all other cabins. Planning work and trials have begun in earnest, with the first aircraft scheduled to enter the Emirates Engineering Centre for refit in November.

Additionally, Emirates has confirmed more announcements about new products and services in the near future. – arab trade news agency
