Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) has launched a new service to cater for private events within the UAE.
It will offer tailor-made menus as part of its new private events catering portfolio, which has also launched Emirati Kitchen, highlighting the Emirati’s national cuisine. Emirati Kitchen’s menu includes authentic Emirati dishes such as fish pate, chicken wraps and kebabs, as well as international classics and contemporary favourites.
EKFC says its “Michelin-trained and award-winning chefs” can serve small family gatherings to larger gatherings of thousands.
In June, EKFC reached a cooperation with Dubai Coca-Cola Arena, becoming the exclusive catering partner of the latter’s live entertainment venue. EKFC provides a full range of catering and hospitality services, including menu development, food production, logistics and service staff for events and meetings.
Mohammad Al Falasi, Assistant Vice President, Business Development, said: “As a leading hospitality provider known globally, our expansion into event catering is an exciting and natural progression. Now everyone can experience our award-winning chefs and the talented craftsmanship of our world-class events team, whether in the comfort of your own home or at a major event.”
In 2020, EKFC launched Foodcraft, an online food delivery service that includes frozen meals, meal kits and freshly baked goods prepared in EKFC kitchens and available for order by UAE customers.
Most recently, earlier this year, it opened the world’s largest vertical farm. Located near Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai World Central, the 330,000 sq. ft. facility will produce more than 1 million kilograms of high-quality vegetables annually and require 95 percent less water than conventional farming. The hydroponic farm is the first vertical farm from Emirates Crop One, a joint venture between EKFC and Crop One.
