Emirates has announced new appointments to its commercial teams in the Middle East, Far East, West Asia and Europe to support the airline’s efforts to rebuild its global network amid increased travel demand.
This latest move will bring 11 seasoned UAE nationals into key markets who will lead the airline’s commercial operations and use their skills and experience to drive growth and develop new strategies. In addition, they will be responsible for strengthening Emirates’ partnerships and footprint in their designated markets.

From 1 November, the following changes will be made to the Emirates Commercial Team:
• Thani Al Ansari: current head coach of Kuwait and Iraq, will be head coach of Ireland
• Khalid Al Zarooni: current coach of Greece and Albania, will be coach of Kuwait and Iraq
• Ibrahim Ghanim: current head coach of Egypt and Libya, will be head coach of Greece and Albania
• Abdalla Al Zamani: current head coach Indonesia, will be head coach Egypt and Libya
• Mohammad Al Attar: current manager of Malaysia, will become manager of Indonesia
• Saeed Mubarak: current manager of Tunisia, will become manager of Malaysia
• Almurr Al Marri: current business support manager in India, will become manager in Tunisia
• Mohammed Alwahedi: current Vietnam manager, will become Thailand manager
• Marwan Al Marri: current Riyadh area manager, will become Vietnam manager
• Wahid Albalooshi: Current Pakistan Country Manager, will become Riyadh Country Manager
• Salem Al Mana: Currently Business Support Manager in Indonesia, will become Country Manager in Pakistan
• Vikram Arora: current country manager for Afghanistan, will become commercial business analysis manager, based in Dubai
A statement from Emirates said that through the commercial outstation scheme, UAE nationals were able to gain wider exposure and expand their network connections.
