ABU DHABI, 12th May, 2023 (WAM) — Thirty-two Emirati fighters are preparing to take part in the 5th Youth MMA Championship at the Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City tomorrow, Saturday, 13th May. Organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, the one-day event will feature athletes competing in different categories.
Fighters from renowned Emirati clubs such as Sharjah Self Defense Sports Club, The Force Sports, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, ADMA and Wolves Zone MMA Academy will battle it out in this passionate and energetic evening. Intense competition.
Commenting on tomorrow’s event, Mohammed Al Hosani, Member of the MMA Committee of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, said: “We are delighted to see the level of interest and participation in Youth MMA Championship 5, which highlights the growing popularity of MMA and mixed martial arts in the UAE. Ahmed Aljaberi from The Force Sports Academy, who competed in the Youth/Men’s/Lightweight (-70.3kg) division, expressed his joy at participating, saying, “I am very happy to be part of this edition because it It’s my first time and I’m looking forward to showing that it’s worth the effort I’ve put in in training.”

Omar Alraeesi from Sharjah’s Self Defense Sports Club, competing in the Junior/Men/Junior B/-57kg category, was equally thrilled. “We are eagerly awaiting the championship and we have made continuous preparations for this fight as it offers an ideal atmosphere and an exceptional professional environment, simulating the most distinguished international competitions.
