ABU DHABI, 3rd November, 2022 (WAM) — His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Sergey Raf, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation rove.
At the meeting in Abu Dhabi, the two senior diplomats discussed the cooperative and strategic partnership between the UAE and Russia, as well as the efforts of the two countries to strengthen the prospects for cooperation in various fields.
The meeting exchanged views on issues of interest and Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields and the need to strengthen it. He was proud of the outcome of the meeting between His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held in St. Petersburg during His Highness’s visit to Russia last month.
“The presidential meeting reflects the rapid growth of cooperation between the two countries,” said the senior UAE diplomat.
After the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah hosted a dinner for Lavrov and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Ahmed bin Ali Mohamed Al Sayegh, Minister of State, and Dr. Mohamed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
