ABU DHABI, 24th May, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has announced new housing projects in the West Baniyas and Samha districts, totaling 1,742 residential villas for citizens at a cost of more than AED7 billion m.

The Sibaniyas residential project includes the construction of 1,500 residential villas and the implementation of infrastructure works, gardens, public facilities and services, in addition to the construction of 8 mosques and 14 commercial buildings. The project is under construction and covers an area of ​​584.7 hectares at a total cost of over AED6.3 billion. Completion is expected in the second quarter of 2027.

The Al Samha project includes 242 residential villas, in addition to the implementation of various infrastructure works, as well as the construction of two mosques and a series of retail units. The project, which is under construction and covers an area of ​​53.4 hectares at a total cost of more than AED734 million, is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2025.

To develop these projects, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority signed two agreements with Q Holding PJSC, under the terms that the company will design and implement both projects for the benefit of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority.

Mohammad Ali Al Shaurafa, Chairman of the Ministry of Municipalities and Transport and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said: “The signing of the development contract for the Sibaniyas and Samha housing projects is to implement our leadership’s vision to meet the Integrated and sustainable housing communities for the needs of citizens and their families, ensuring the stability and social well-being of citizens.”

Al Shorafa highlighted the authority’s eagerness to develop and establish effective partnerships with the government and the private sector to develop innovative solutions to meet the social priorities of the housing sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
