ABU DHABI, 14th December, 2022 (WAM) — This year’s BLAST Premier World Finals, one of the world’s elite esports tournaments, kicked off in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (14th December), with the world’s best Eight of the teams will compete for the chance to become the 2022 Counter-Strike Champions.
BLAST has partnered with AD Gaming, a pioneering gaming and esports initiative, as part of a three-year partnership to bring its end-of-season tournament to the UAE capital for the first time.
The World Finals will be held at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island on December 18, as eight of the world’s biggest esports organizations will battle for glory in the seventh and final match of the BLAST Premier tournament series , with a prize pool of $1 million.
Among the most featured are FaZe Clan (ESL Pro League 15, NAVI, (BLAST Premier Spring Final), Team Vitality (ESL Pro League 16), Outsiders (IEM Rio Major) and Heroic (BLAST Premier Fall Final). They will join G2 Esports, Team Liquid and OG Esports, who are the top three in the world finals leaderboard.
Representing these teams will be some of the greatest players in esports, including Team Vitality’s ‘dupreeh’, who has won four majors, and NAVI’s ‘s1mple’ – widely regarded as the greatest and greatest player of all time. One of the accomplished professional gamers and esports players with 21 HLTV MVP medals and a Major.
The event is in line with AD Gaming’s broader strategy and commitment to gather momentum in Abu Dhabi to build a thriving gaming and esports ecosystem and continue to drive the city as a global gaming hub.
The event will also feature some of the biggest names in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabian popular game creator BanderitaX and professional Fortnite players NM7 and spyerfrog.
They’ll be among a host of top gamers, influencers and content creators, including Basharkk” and Galaxy Racer’s professional Fortnite players “Souriano” and “g1ntl,” allowing viewers to meet the stars in person.
