ABU DHABI, 27th May, 2023 (WAM) — The Emirates Academy of Higher Education, ECAE, has announced the publication of three new books during the 32nd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, ADIBF, which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Library Exhibition Center (ADNEC), May 22-28.

These books will enrich the field of study in education while advancing science teaching methods and educational leadership.

These books align with ECAE’s efforts to address the need for educational innovation rooted in research and development, while developing best practice and policy, as a comprehensive data hub for educators. This demonstrates ECAE’s commitment to encouraging lifelong learning and empowering the industry’s top talent to help build the UAE’s future through its students.

The first book, “Gender in STEM Education in the Arab Gulf Countries,” focuses on four key science areas: natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The title of the second book is Sharia-Based Educational Leadership, Administration and Management: Challenging Expectations Through Global Critical Insights. It discusses current assumptions about Islamic education and examines educational leadership grounded in Islamic principles to address challenges in education systems, policy, and practice. The third book, entitled A Culturally Sensitive Research Approach to Educational Management and Leadership, combines theoretical and epistemological frameworks to help develop an inclusive approach to the educational process.

Commenting on the launch of the three new books, ECAE Vice-Chancellor, Dr. May Al Taee said, “The new books launched during ADIBF are of great interest to all who are interested in the education sector and the education process. We believe that these publications will help those related to the education sector, and ECAE’s administrators to develop better policies and recommendations based on research and analysis. This helps to overcome challenges and fill gaps across the education sector while empowering educators through innovative and effective academic programs that align with the future of education in the UAE skills.”

Al Taee clarified that in addition to a well-equipped infrastructure, ECAE has retained all the necessary resources and expertise of its faculty, as well as experienced and skilled elite researchers. All these factors enable it to lead the transformation of education in the UAE. It can also contribute to the preparation of future generations through academic excellence, the continued development of the educational team, and improved academic programs and methods. Al Taee would like to thank the faculty and researchers for their efforts in producing these books, which are in line with ECAE’s strategic goals and future plans.
