ABU DHABI, 29th December, 2022 (WAM) — His Excellency Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office Today received Gibran Rakabuming Rake, Mayor of Surakarta (Solo), Indonesia, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia.
His Highness hailed the visit as a reflection of the longstanding relationship between the UAE and Indonesia.
During the meeting, HH discussed the importance of continued cooperation to further strengthen the ties between the two friendly countries and their peoples.
Gibran’s visit to Abu Dhabi follows His Royal Highness’s visit to Thoreau earlier this month.
During the visit, HH attended the wedding of Jokowi’s youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep, and visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Solo.
The mosque incorporates elements of traditional Indonesian design, symbolizing the close bond between the two countries.
His Highness was accompanied by Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia.
