ABU DHABI, 24th March, 2023 (WAM) — Khalifa University of Science and Technology announced today that its Department of Petroleum Engineering has been ranked 8th in the world in the 2023 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject – Engineering and Technology.
The Petroleum Engineering program at Khalifa University has a modern and well-balanced curriculum that emphasizes not only the fundamentals of petroleum engineering, but also the business processes that provide the best engineering solutions for oilfield development and operations.
Meanwhile, Khalifa University’s Electrical and Electronic Engineering ranks 99th in the world (out of the top 100) in the 2023 QS Subject Rankings. Khalifa University’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) offers bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering, computer engineering (with an optional focus on software systems) and computer science, as well as MSc and PhD programs.
In addition, Khalifa University maintains a leading position in the UAE in computer science and information systems, chemical engineering, civil and structural engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing engineering.
Under the QS Natural Sciences subject category, Khalifa University ranks among the top in the UAE for Chemistry, Environmental Science, Materials Science, Mathematics, and Physics and Astronomy.
Khalifa University is ranked 181 in the world in the 2023 QS World University Rankings.
