ABU DHABI, 3rd April, 2023 (WAM) — Ma’an, the Social Contribution Authority – the official social contribution platform of the Government of Abu Dhabi, has announced its Give Back Abu Dhabi campaign.
Ma’an called on Abu Dhabi residents to dig deep during Ramadan and make a sustainable social impact by supporting social priorities that are important to them.
Reflecting the Authority’s values, the campaign encourages communities to come together and achieve an inclusive society through giving, contribution and participation.
As synonymous with the spirit of the Holy Moon, a contribution to Ma’an will impact the entire community. As the government of Abu Dhabi’s official channel for social donations, fundraising is deployed transparently and donors select projects that best align with their priorities and values.
Inspired by the UAE’s Faraj irrigation system developed by the country’s forefathers, which exemplifies shared wealth and what can be achieved when working together, the campaign encourages community members to contribute in support of a range of social priorities including health, education, the environment , social sectors and infrastructure.
The agency recently launched a new mobile app, Abu Dhabi MAAN, which enables contributors to quickly and easily commit to projects of their choice, and the app is available for download on Apple and Android devices.
“Those who contribute through Ma’an become part of a collaborative community that supports the delivery of sustainable solutions and lasting social impact,” said Faisal Alhmoudi, Executive Director, Social Investment Fund, Ma’an Social Contribution Authority.
“Ma’an’s fundraising campaign has enabled community members in the emirate of Abu Dhabi to engage third sector organizations to support a number of social priorities in line with the government’s ongoing commitment to contribute to Abu Dhabi’s collaborative and participatory social ecosystem and inclusion Contribute to society with a vision of sexuality,” he added.
Changemakers who prefer to make a general contribution can also do so by selecting the “Social Investment Fund” option, which enables Maan to allocate accordingly to the needs of specific regions.
Since its inception in 2019, Ma’an has provided financial support to approximately 700,000 people in Abu Dhabi through its various social programs and initiatives to have a positive, long-term and sustainable impact on the community.
Donations can be made through www.maan.gov.ae or through the app available on Android and Apple devices.
