ABU DHABI, 31st May, 2023 (WAM) — The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, MoIAT, has launched Made in UAE, a new quality mark for UAE-made products.

Launched at the UAE Forum today, the logo aims to boost consumer confidence in local products. This shows that the product meets the national quality and safety standards, which enhances the competitiveness of the product in the international market.

Saba’ Sanabel from Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment is the first local product to receive the ‘Made in UAE’ mark. The mark was also awarded to Yas Electronic Systems for traffic management technology, Euro Pack Industries for biodegradable plastics and Rubber Plas Tech LLC for food contact materials.

The launch of the Made in UAE logo is in line with the National Industrial Strategy and the goal of supporting the country’s industrial development with advanced technology. The strategy aims to enhance the competitiveness of local industries, build the UAE’s reputation for exporting industrial products to global markets, and create an attractive business environment for local and international investors.

Companies in the UAE can apply for a license to use the Made in UAE mark, which is issued by MoIAT in accordance with the technical requirements of Cabinet Resolution No. 10 of 2018.

Companies can obtain the Made in UAE mark through the ministry’s website for a nominal fee of Dh100 over three years.
