ABU DHABI, 21st April, 2023 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in the Presidency, and Sheikh Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi His Highness Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, joined Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi today for Eid al-Fitr prayers.
Other sheikhs who performed the prayers included HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, HH Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; HH Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; His Excellency Zayed Al Nahyan; His Excellency Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Hamid bin Zayed His Excellency Al Nahyan; His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Sheikh Omar, Vice Chairman of the Board of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation His Highness bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zayed People’s Higher Organization; and His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the UAE.
Dr Mohammed Matar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Directorate General of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, delivered an Eid sermon, emphasizing the importance of being grateful for the blessings we receive and working to preserve what we have. He also called on worshipers to work to strengthen bonds with family, friends and community members and to promote love and compassion.
At the end of his sermon, Dr. Al Kaabi prayed to Allah Almighty for continued stability, progress and prosperity in the UAE.
After the Eid prayers, His Highness the Sheikh exchanged Eid greetings with the faithful before they visited the mausoleum of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and prayed to Allah Almighty for the late UAE founding father to live in in his vast garden.
