ABU DHABI, 7th October, 2022 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH), the regulator of the UAE’s healthcare sector, and the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (SUAD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening the Collaboration in scientific research, AI-based concept development, education, and community engagement in healthcare.
The MoU was signed by Dr Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Deputy Minister of Health, and Prof Silvia Serrano, Vice-Chancellor of SUAD.
As part of the MoU, the Ministry of Health will collaborate with SUAD through the Sorbonne Centre for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) in Paris and Abu Dhabi to develop pioneering research programmes in artificial intelligence knowledge to improve their skills and expertise in artificial intelligence and research areas.
The partnership is in line with the sector’s efforts to strengthen collaboration with academia, technology companies and research centres to raise quality standards in Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector and strengthen the emirate’s position as an incubator for life sciences innovation.
