ABU DHABI, 17th December, 2022 (WAM) — In the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairman of the General Women’s Union, GWU, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairman of the Family Development Foundation The third Abu Dhabi Family Forum was inaugurated on Friday under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan (FDF), Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
The event was organized by the Family Development Foundation and the Supreme Council of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Excellence and Social Intelligence Program and chaired by HH Sheikh Theab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Executive Committee, on Al Hudayriyat Island and to strengthen family foundations and improve the quality of life in the emirate provides a platform.
Under the slogan “Family Quality of Life in the Fifties”, the forum invites all family members and society to participate in various cultural, scientific, artistic and recreational activities.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak toured the forum and its facilities, accompanied by a number of local and federal officials, and praised its accompanying activities, including entertainment, cultural and scientific ones.
He also heard about the achievements of the departments concerned and their impact on various sectors of society.
Sheikh Nahyan said: “I am delighted to join you today for the third Family Development Conference. It is a pleasure to join you all in welcoming the Honorable Judge Frank Caprio to Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Nahyan emphasized: “It is also my honor to thank HH Theab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his leadership in directing the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Excellence and Social Intelligence Program. I am very grateful for his important role in stimulating creativity, innovation and contribution Our nation’s family.
Sheikh Nahyan reiterated, “Our greatest asset in the United Arab Emirates is that our country’s leaders have always been men of wisdom and vision. Together with our people, our leaders of wisdom and vision have created a Peaceful and very successful change in society.Our President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is focusing on our country’s role in global progress and development, sustainability, opportunity and innovation His leadership has made our country a beacon of tolerance and coexistence. By his example and initiative, we wholeheartedly accept the duty to respect and understand the many convictions and beliefs of those who live and work in our country.
He also added, “The UAE is a very diverse country where people from about 200 countries live and work in peace and harmony. Because this situation is so important to our country, the government has established the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence , which is the only one in the world.
As Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, I have the privilege and responsibility to promote and foster tolerance and coexistence in the United Arab Emirates and beyond. My department works with the country’s extremely diverse population to help build an open, secure, peaceful and prosperous country that is recognized as a successful model of peaceful multicultural coexistence in the region and the world. Together we promote tolerance, encouraging and enabling people to engage with others who are different from themselves – to understand their feelings, thoughts and experiences – to understand each person as a unique individual – to develop a sense of empathy for attention and concern. other people’s needs, he said.
The United Arab Emirates provides a perfect example of this kind of tolerance:
- A tolerance that enables individuals to live by the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

At the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, we are committed to strengthening this tolerance in the national consciousness, he added. We work to inspire tolerant behavior among young people, families, schools and universities, government and business.
In the UAE, we believe our model of tolerance has the potential to transcend borders and become a global movement for good. In 2019, His Highness the President showcased the UAE’s vision for global peace and tolerance, invited His Holiness Pope Francis and His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar to visit Abu Dhabi, and delivered the Abu Dhabi Brotherhood of Human Rights Declaration. This historic declaration also states, I quote: “Positive steps taken by our modern civilization” and I quote again: “There is both a moral degradation affecting international action and a weakening of spiritual values and responsibilities.” In the UAE, We firmly believe that action motivated by tolerance will slow and possibly even reverse moral corruption. He noted that the virtue of tolerance has the power to create safe, secure, peaceful and prosperous communities and societies.
I am sure you agree that if we are going to build a world of peace, tolerance, hope, opportunity and shared prosperity – a world so desperately needed – we must have strong, visionary leaders committed to tolerance that truly interprets the values . Judge Caprio, your example is indeed inspiring. Sheikh Nahyan concluded that in your distinguished career you have shown how we can work together to build a better and more humane world.
Providence Municipal Court Chief Justice Frank Caprio expressed his pleasure to participate in the 3rd Abu Dhabi Family Forum organized under the Sheikha Fatima Excellence and Social Intelligence Program which Held in Marsana, Al Hudayriat Island until December 18th.
Judge Caprio addressed President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President of the National Women’s Union (GWU), Supreme Council for Maternity and Childhood and Supreme Family Chairperson Sheikha Fatima His Highness Bint Mubarak expressed his gratitude to the Development Foundation (FDF) for organizing the forum.
He also expressed his pleasure at visiting the UAE, commending the instructions and efforts of its wise leadership to promote a culture and heritage of tolerance and forgiveness.
In his keynote speech at the forum, Caprio emphasized the importance of family values because they “mean everything and define us as a nation and as individuals, noting that values such as faith, hope, honor, charity and loyalty include Courtesy, respect, dignity and honor.
He added: “As we gather here today as leaders in government, business and international relations, we must understand that we have an obligation to instill these values in our smallest family units and to promote them on a larger scale. If we, the leaders in our communities, can do this, we can and will build great societies.”
Judge Caprio said his presence in Abu Dhabi was the best testament to the spread of those values that resonate worldwide, adding that he had witnessed countless examples of tolerance and compassion during his visit.
“I understand that the UAE is providing opportunities and avenues for people from all over the world who are seeking to improve their lives and that of their families. These opportunities, along with an advanced education system, provide the foundation for the continued prosperity of individuals and entire nations,” he continued.
Judge Caprio closed his speech by reiterating the need to treat everyone with equal respect and compassion, in addition to spreading the values of brotherhood and tolerance to build strong communities and harmonious family bonds.
