ABU DHABI, 16th March, 2023 (WAM) — The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, NCEMA, has announced that it will host the Crisis and Emergency Management Summit (CEMS) 2023 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor.
The summit, to be held in Abu Dhabi on May 9-10, will discuss emergency, crisis and disaster management mechanisms to improve the preparedness of emergency and crisis systems, unify the sector’s global efforts, and will also highlight the The future of the sector in a time of increasing global threats and risks, as well as current major issues.
Ali Saeed Al Neyadi, Chairman of NCEMA, said: “We are delighted to announce the hosting of this year’s CEMS conference with the theme ‘Abu Dhabi 2023’. This year we will discuss the UAE’s vital role in strengthening international partnerships in emergencies, crises and Disaster Management. It will examine the biggest challenges facing the emergency and crisis management sector, as well as current global trends, based on strategic cooperation between the UAE and several countries, international organizations and other relevant institutions.
