Emirates News Agency – Saif bin Zayed visits IDEX and NAVDEX 2023

ABU DHABI, 24th February, 2023 (WAM) — Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, visited the 16th International Defense Exhibition, IDEX 2023) and the seventh edition of the Naval Defense Exhibition (NAVDEX 2023).

Both events were held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

During his visit, Sheikh Saif was briefed on the latest products, technologies and initiatives offered by the participating institutions and companies, both events enhancing social security in the field of defense industry and maritime defense and maritime security, as well as the latest land, Development of the marine and air defense sectors.

At IDEX, the Minister visited the “International Gold Group” pavilion, which showcased advanced products from the defense and security industry, in addition to the latest defense equipment and supplies from the Army, Air, and Navy, and the Tawazun Economic Council Pavilion. He reviews some of the latest solutions and initiatives in the defense and security industry such as the Mayman Aerospace, the D7 drone, the D3 printer, the technology boat and the Caldis company’s pavilion showcasing combat machinery.

At NAVDEX, Sheikh Saif visited the Blue Gulf Cat company’s pavilion, displaying its marine products such as multipurpose boats. He was then briefed on the UAE vessel “Muzaffar”, one of the main units providing early warning and conducting maritime security operations, among many other tasks, including assisting in search and rescue operations, securing the country’s coast and its vital Security of installations, reporting of maritime hazards and other tasks.
