ABU DHABI, 15th June, 2023 (WAM) — Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, attended the graduation ceremony of the 16th class of students of the UAE National School.
The graduation ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency, Ahmed Mohamed Al Hamiri attended the graduation ceremony as Principal of the Emirates National School.
The graduating cohort of 561 students completed their studies in the Abu Dhabi Complex, Mohamed bin Zayed City and Al Ain in the 2022-2023 academic year, known as the Sustainability Year.
Sustainability in the UAE
Sheikh Saif emphasized that the country’s comprehensive and sustainable development process is progressing under the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Saif congratulated the graduate students, urging them to use the knowledge and experience gained to advance in the fields of science and creativity and contribute to enhancing the UAE’s status and strengthening its respected international status.
In his speech, Hamiri said, “His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed’s patronage of the advancement of UAE National Schools has transformed them into a groundbreaking national educational model that helps build the character of our students.”
He added: “Emirates National Schools continues to uphold this vision by establishing technical and vocational training centers to expand opportunities for students to acquire skills and knowledge through hands-on activities in state-of-the-art, innovative and secure facilities equipped with the latest technology tools and equipment.”
Expressing his gratitude, he said the presence of Sheikh Saif underscored the commitment of the wise leadership to the educational process and its dedication to achieve excellence in all fields.
Al Hamiri also congratulated Sheikh Zayed bin Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, son of Sheikh Saif, who graduated as part of the 16th batch of graduates of the UAE National School.
21st anniversary
Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Shaun Daly, Director General of the Emirates National School, emphasized that the event marked the 21st anniversary of the Emirates National School, which offers an exceptional educational programme.
He highlighted the school’s commitment to strengthening institutional partnerships, diversifying its education strategy, absorbing various international experiences in the field of education, enhancing the regional and global excellence of the UAE education system, and promoting the sport of Muay Thai within the school.
Sheikh Zayed bin Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan began his speech on behalf of his fellow graduates with verses praising the country and its wise leadership.
He expressed his pride in being part of the 16th batch of graduates of the Emirates National School, an academic institution that instilled in them a sense of pride and love for their cherished homeland from which they acquired knowledge and values.
“We must stop here and acknowledge the extraordinary life of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and builder of the UAE,” he said. Generosity as a cornerstone, with special mention to the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
UAE’s cultural renaissance
On behalf of the graduates, he extended heartfelt thanks to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai grateful.
He also extended his condolences to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the UAE, and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Thank you, Your Excellency.
He thanked these dignitaries for their patronage in the UAE’s cultural renaissance in various sectors and fields, as well as their unwavering support for the country, which is a real investment and a symbol of the UAE’s ambitions.
He further emphasized, “Our aim is to achieve the transformative transformation that befits the UAE so that it becomes a global leader in all fields. We would like to express our gratitude to the Chairman, Board members and teaching staff of the Emirates National School, and in our pursuit of excellence Dear parents who provide unwavering support along the way.
He concluded his speech by sharing a meaningful quote from his father, teacher and inspiration, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed: “The UAE has consistently demonstrated its ability to empower the world The ability to dazzle and overcome the seemingly impossible.”
UAE’s vision
He added that by maintaining a positive spirit and a strong belief in overcoming challenges, they can contribute to the realization of this vision. They aspire to leave a lasting legacy, contributing to the development of their beloved country and realizing the vision of the wise leadership for the United Arab Emirates. They prayed to Allah Almighty to bless their dear country with safety, stability, prosperity and development under the leadership of wise leaders.
Graduates of the Year of Sustainability expressed their deepest gratitude to the wise leadership for their support and sponsorship of cultural renaissance across all sectors and fields in the UAE.
Notably, the UAE National School attached to the Presidential Court first opened in 2002 in Mohamed bin Zayed City. The institution currently consists of six complexes accommodating more than 12,680 students in pre-k through twelfth grade across its branches. The number of graduates this year reached 3,501, including 801 male and female graduates.
