Emirates News Agency – Saqr Ghobash holds talks with ambassadors of Latin American, Caribbean countries

ABU DHABI, 31st January, 2023 (WAM) — Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, FNC, held talks with the ambassadors of some Latin American and Caribbean countries to the UAE.

During the meeting, the FNC Speaker said that the UAE has excellent relations with Latin American and Caribbean countries based on cooperation and mutual interests, and emphasized the importance of developing trade and investment relations with them.

He affirmed the desire of the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to strengthen cooperation and partnerships with these countries in the political, parliamentary, economic, cultural, educational, investment and other important areas relation.

The list of ambassadors includes Francisco J. Chacon Hernandez, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the UAE; Jorge Agustin Molina Arambarri, Ambassador of Argentina to the UAE; Avondale Paul, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of Dominica to the UAE; Luis Alfonso De Alba Gongora, Ambassador of Mexico to the UAE; Chargé d’affairs ad interim; Julio Simon Chestnut Zouai, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the UAE; Patricio Diaz Broughton, Chilean Ambassador to the UAE; Willy Gomez, Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala to the UAE; Alvaro Ceriani, Ambassador of the UAE; Justin Hawley, Ambassador of St. Louis St. Kitts and Nevis to the UAE; Jose Aguero Avila, Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay; Cesar Augusto Dominguez-Ardila, Minister Counselor, Embassy of Colombia in the UAE; Sarduy, Chargé d’affaires ad interim, Cuban embassy; Marco Antonio Santivañez Pimentel, Consul General of Peru in Dubai; Nadia Al Kheder, chargé d’affaires ad interim, Brazilian embassy in the UAE; Odilio Villanero, chargé d’affaires ad interim at the Panama embassy in Dubai

Also in attendance were Saleh Ahmad Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Brazil and Saeed Al Qamzi, UAE Ambassador to Argentina, as well as several FNC members.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially promoting cooperation and parliamentary relations between the FNC and the parliamentary institutions of these countries.

The ambassadors praised the UAE for its openness and development in various fields, stressing that it is an example for other countries.

They also highlighted their countries’ keenness to strengthen and activate parliamentary relations in various fields to help strengthen and develop relations between the UAE and their countries for their common interests.
