ABU DHABI, 17th January, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Shahbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, delivered a speech entitled “Ghana: Unlimited Opportunities” at the Ghana Business Forum. Opening speech. The Ghanaian delegation was led by the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Ghana Business Forum will be held in Abu Dhabi as part of Ghana Business Week and will highlight Ghana’s strengths in energy, mining, natural resources, agriculture, financial services, trade and manufacturing, environment, technology and real estate.
Sheikh Shakhboot said: “The UAE and Ghana share deep cultural and historical ties, which has strengthened cooperation and partnerships in the areas of trade and investment, as well as the development of energy infrastructure, agriculture, schools, hospitals and water wells. UAE remains committed to investing in Ghana and its talent, currently investing more than $3 billion in various sectors including real estate, agriculture and tourism.”
The minister praised the deep bilateral relationship between the UAE and the Republic of Ghana, and called for further exploration of prospects for cooperation between the two countries. “We look forward to continuing our partnership and building a brighter future for our people,” he added.
The Ghana Business Forum discusses strategies to strengthen UAE-Ghana business ties. Participating companies and entities will review opportunities and areas for work and investment.
