ABU DHABI, 1st May, 2023 (WAM) – The Sheikh Zayed Housing Program (SZHP), an initiative of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI), has issued 945 housing assistance decisions worth AED749 million until 2023. These include decisions to jointly provide government housing or home financing with banks, accounting for 32 per cent of the total of 3,000 decisions the scheme aims to issue by 2023.
Eng Mohamed Al Mansouri, Director of SZHP, said: “We will continue to work tirelessly and work hand-in-hand with our stakeholders to bring the government’s housing programs and strategies to fruition to improve the social well-being and living conditions of the people of the UAE.
“Providing decent housing for Emiratis is a priority for our leadership, as the prosperity of the people is the backbone of the country’s sustainable development, in line with the government’s goals for the next 50 years. To promote the happiness of UAE citizens, SZHP has developed plans and launched Quality initiatives and projects to enhance residential stability and meet the needs of Emiratis applying for housing assistance.In the next phase, we seek to coordinate the efforts of the government, the private sector and the local community to better serve the beneficiaries of the scheme. “
