ABU DHABI, 18th January, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company, Tadweer, has signed five operating contracts worth more than AED2 billion. Contracts signed with Alpamed Abu Dhabi LLC and Terberg RosRoca Vehicle Manufacturing, Beeah Sharjah Environment Company LLC, Averda Waste Management LLC and JV Lavajet Al Ain/Nael & Bin Harmal Hydroexport LLC (NBHH) covering solid waste collection and transportation services, Abu Dhabi and public cleaning services in Al Ain, and waste container management and maintenance in Abu Dhabi.
The 6-year contract aims to ensure a leap in service quality and environmental services by providing electrical equipment for waste collection and transport, cleaning services and self-sweeping services for major roads, and staff training programs to ensure their work meets international standards .
The contracts were signed during the EcoWASTE 2023 exhibition and forum as part of Tadweer’s commitment to foster partnerships that help strengthen sustainable waste management and maintain a clean and healthy environment in Abu Dhabi.
Tadweer is also exploring collaborative opportunities for the selective conversion of municipal solid waste into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and the potential for converting waste into fuel and sustainable chemical materials. The company also signed a memorandum of understanding with Beeah Sharjah Environment Company LLC to explore new partnership opportunities in waste management overseas.
