ABU DHABI, 28th November, 2022 (WAM) – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE Sherif Mohamed Fouad al-Bedwi the Order of Independence First Class.
The award was given in recognition of his efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields during his tenure in the country.
Al Bedewi was presented with the medal by Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Almarar at a reception held at the headquarters of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi. Almarar expressed his wishes for the success of Al Bedewi’s work and commended his role in strengthening the relationship between the UAE and the Arab Republic of Egypt in various fields.
For his part, Al Bedewi expressed his pride in receiving the medal, which represents the depth of the relationship and bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Egypt. He also expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai , praising his leadership.
He pointed to the country’s achievements over the past 50 years, underscoring the leadership’s desire to elevate the UAE’s status.
He also thanked the UAE government agencies for their cooperation, which contributed to his success in his task of enhancing relations between the two countries.
